The rules are very simple and very quick:
- No fighting/drama/complaining in the chatbox or on the board. AT ALL. If you have a problem with someone, take it to that person, or to me. If you have a problem with the board, PM a staff member.
- No television or movie characters. Originals only please.
- Please use correct spelling and grammar in character posts. Typos are acceptable so long as they do not become difficult to read. If in doubt, type your post up in MS word or something akin to it.
- Introduce yourself before you begin posting. Just give a brief rundown on your character. You don't have to write an essay, just give nation of birth and rank or occupation if your character is/was in the military.
- There will be absolutely NO signing up as Hitler, Stalin, Churchill, Mussolini etc, etc, etc. If unsure, ask a staff member.
- No Mary-Sues. This means don't attach your character inexorably to another person's character in a companionship or relationship sense unless the player of said character has agreed to it out-of-character. Himmler did not have a werewolf half-cousin twice removed and Brandt did not have sordid love affairs with a vampire lass from <insert time and nation here.> (Note from Scherer: Himmler was a pagan so he COULD... have had a werewolf half-cousin twice removed...) But I'll smite you if you make him/her. ; )
- While historical accuracy is heavily encouraged, it is not required. We do encourage at least basic historic knowledge or research, but we won't smite you for slip-ups.
- Keep signature image widths to a maximum of 500 pixels to avoid stretching the forum frames. I don't mind about height so long as it doesn't take up half the page. Avatars are restrained to 100 by 100 pixels.
